Thanksgiving Pie Felt Garland
This craft made me hungry!
If you’re looking for an easy craft that you can re-use year after year, this is a great one! Just some felt, hot glue, and string, and you’ve got eveyrthing you need to make a garland that looks good enough to eat! (I wouldn’t, though.)
Thanksgiving Pie Felt Garland Supplies
- Felt sheets in the colors you want for your pies (brown, orange, red, etc.)
- String to hang the garland
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun and glue
- Cotton rounds (optional, for whipped cream. You could also use pompoms.)

Thanksgiving Pie Felt Garland Instructions
- Create a template for your pie shapes using scrap cardboard or paper – this is just a triangle shape with the crust edge slightly rounded. You can make your pie slices whatever shape you want!
- Trace your template onto your felt sheets and cut out – orange for pumpkin pie, red for cherry pie, etc.
- Cut strips of “crust” and fold as you glue to create a crimped edge
- Optional: add “whipped cream” to your pie by gluing a cotton round onto your pie. Secure to pie slice with glue, then add another glue dot in the center and squish together to create a dollop shape.
- Optional: for cherry/apple pie you can cut strips of “pie dough” in your crust color and criss-cross over the pie slice. Glue in place and trim the excess. I did a bad job with crisscrossing mine, but you get the idea!
- Glue pie slices to your string with a small glue dot on the back.
- Hang and enjoy!
