It’s that time of the year again–the time where if you don’t make plans, you won’t get anything done at all next year.
Just kidding, I don’t really believe that.
But like most of you, I enjoy taking this time of the year to plan for next. I love the feeling of motivation and organization that this time of the year brings!
Here are a few tools I’m using to get organized and planned for next year.
Some of these resources use affiliate links. By clicking them and making a purchase, I will receive a small commission. I only share products and services that I love and genuinely recommend. The affiliate links are just a nice bonus. I appreciate you purchasing through my affiliate links!

I hear a lot of designers saying they’re not ready to invest in Basecamp for project management–so they manage their projects via email. What a mess! Freedcamp is–you guessed it–free. You can add on only what you need when you need it (like extra storage), but you may not ever need to pay anything. Plus, the interface is pretty nice, and clients seem to find it pretty intuitive. So get uot of your inbox, and get organized! Sign up for Freedcamp!

Inbox Pause might be my favorite tool ever. Stop reacting to emails and focus on getting the work you need to get done, done! Inbox Pause allows you to (guess what?) pause your inbox so you can do crazy things like log out for the weekend, focus on work during the day, and stop checking your inbox every five minutes. It’s life-changing. And free. Pause your inbox!
I’ve got nothing against Mailchimp, it’s great when you’re starting out. But if you’re on a paid plan, you should look at switching to ConvertKit. Why? ConvertKit does everything Mailchimp does, and a WHOLE lot more. The automations make ConvertKit incredible for the price. Add subscribers to email courses or funnels, and remove them when they purchase your products. Sell products through other platforms, and deliver content to them via ConvertKit. Do all sorts of wizardry and target customers who are interested in certain topics, while excluding those who aren’t. I can’t really say enough good thngs about ConvertKit; it’s easily my favorite find of 2015. Get ConvertKit now!
