The new year always brings a fresh start. And with that fresh start, we set goals. But the problem most of us face is that we set goals that sound great, but with no plan to actually achieve them. So how do you set goals that you'll actually achieve? Set goals that are measurable If you can't measure your goal, how will you know if you've achieved it? I wish I could live at CaboPress. I spent the past week in Cabo San Lucas, at a business conference (yes, really) made for nerds like me. To be honest, when I first heard of CaboPress (a mastermind conference run by Chris Lema), I wrote it off due to the cost, and the fact it didn't seem like a "real" conference. I even dropped my price to work on projects that I thought I wouldn’t get otherwise. I think I charged $150 for my first ecommerce site (which was a BEAST). It’s no wonder that after my first year in business I only walked … [Read more...] about How I raised my prices from $500 to $10,000+
Stop selling websites! Please. Look, we've all been there. A client is haggling your price down because So-and-So over at that other design business says she can make a website for half the cost. And you start to question yourself. And you start to worry that the client will hire So-and-So instead. And you are juuuuust about to lower your price... STOP! Websites aren't a commodity. They're not like gasoline, where you stop at whatever gas station has the lowest price, because … [Read more...] about Stop selling websites RIGHT NOW!
